Well, being in Michigan we have come to love and/or hate the weather. Below is my Weather Underground page and as you can see there is a Record Statement - that's for the record high temp we had yesterday. And you can also see the Winter Storm Watch for tomorrow. After getting up to 67 degrees yesterday, they are now forcasting ice tonight and 5-8 inches of snow tomorrow. Lovely.

We went to Jenna's brother's house to celebrate Thanksgiving. Jenna made her yummy pizza dip and I tried out a new recipe for stuffing. It was a spinach-artichoke stuffing and everyone said they liked it. I think if I do it again, I'd go with about half as much artichoke as called for, it seemed a bit salty to me.

Wow, was last week busy! We had a lot going on with Thanksgiving, haircuts, decorating the house, killing a tree for Christmas...whew!
Reagan had her first trip to the salon for a big girl haircut last week. She did great and looks so cute with her new 'do.
I also took some video of her while we were there.

I was out with the arson investigator for the State Police yesterday. We were investigating a suspicious fire that destroyed a property in the area. The MSP brought out Zach, one of their specially trained German Shepherds. Here he is in action. The detective/sergeant also got into the act smelling for a specific hydrocarbon scent that would indicate an accelerent was used to start the fire.

Get out and vote today! And remember, my darling children want you to vote Republican! They'd like to remind you that as a family of 4 making between $50-$75k a year, getting rid of tax cuts would increase our tax burden from approximately $1300 to over $3300 a year! By the way, I'm predicting (and this is just a little voice in my head) that the Dems pick up 12 house seats and 3 senate seats leaving the GOP in control of both houses.

I can check the location of visitors to the blog and can also see how each person gets here. Some of the ways people reach Lapeer Living is humorous. A recent visitor searched Google for 'missing contractors' and found my site. The funny thing is that it refers to a post I made last year. Some terrorists posed a photo of a GI Joe doll as part of a kidnap video. I put together a post with of my own. The picture I included follows.

-Dateline: Washington. John Kerry was awarded his 4th Purple Heart medal after shooting himself in the foot this past week. Kerry's description of troops in Iraq as too dumb to end up anywhere else ruffled some feathers. He apologized by saying everyone was too stupid to understand what he was originally trying to say. Soldiers from Iraq got their crayons together and put together this message for Mr. Kerry.
